Moving County of a Property Tax Return / Duplicating a Property Tax Return to a Different County

The below describes how to copy/duplicate a return from a Source County (original County) to a Destination County (new County)

This is suitable for client who has moved to another county; or you simply want to duplicate a property tax return for a client to create property tax return for another county.

NOTE:

• this method only works if you do NOT already have a return created for the destination County.

• this method will NOT copy the properties across.

Instructions:

• Go to the client's record (File > Client Records > List Clients).

• Select your Client

• Create Return > Property Tax Return

  • NOTE: Do NOT change the County on this page. If you have changed the County, please change it back to the original

• This will show you current County (source County, eg. Gwinnett in below example)

• Manually type in your new County (destination county, eg. Fulton in below example)

  • Click "Tab" on your keyboard

  • This will show a prompt "Create from the current {source County} return" > Click "yes"

You should now see the tax return in the new County.
