Lesson 6b: Advanced Method for Entering Additions and Disposals

  • Navigate to the History tab.

  • Click the button labeled Current & Disposed Property Items.

  • Ensure that the full property list is accurately captured in this table.

  • Use the following shortcuts to manage records within the table:

    • Ctrl + N to add a new record

    • Ctrl + T to mark a record for deletion

    • Ctrl + R to unmark a deletion

  • When adding a new property item, a pop-up will appear. Fill in all required fields, including: Year Acquired, Report as Tax Year (Returned), Description, Group, Cost

  • Click Add Item to save the new property.

  • To dispose of a property, check the box under the Disp. (Disposal) column for that item.

  • A disposal pop-up will appear. Fill in Date Disposed, Year Disposal Returned

  • Click Yes to confirm the disposal.

  • When finished, click the X in the upper right corner to close the table.

  • You will be prompted to choose how to transfer this data to Schedule A.

  • Select option 1 to fully rebuild Schedule A, then click Yes to confirm.
