Installation Instructions

Before Installation:

• Verify Data: Open your current GA-TaxPro software and confirm your data is present.

• Note Folder Locations:

  • Click "Setup Information" in the menu bar

  • Record your Program Folder and Current Data Folder locations

• Close Software: Exit GA-TaxPro (Network users: Ensure no other users have the software open)

Download and Install:

• Download File: Download the installation file. (Refer to Resolving Common Download Issues with GA-TaxPro (Anti-virus, Windows SmartScreen, etc.))

• Run File: Execute the downloaded file. (Network users should run it from a workstation, not the server.)

• Accept License Agreement: Accept the license agreement and click "Next." Review the information and click "Next" again.

• Check Installation Path: Ensure the installation path matches your original Program Folder. Edit if necessary, then click "Next."

• Choose Options: Select options for Start Menu Folder, Desktop Icon, or Quick Launch Icon. Click "Install," then "Finish."

After Installation:

• Verify Version: Ensure the software version in the System Setup Information window is the latest.

• Check Folders: Confirm the Program Folder and Current Data Folder match their pre-installation locations.

• Close Setup: Click "Close Setup Information."

• Proceed with Update: Click "OK" to initiate the automated update process, which will:

  • Back up your existing data folder and update files

  • ReIndex to finalize installation

Congratulations! Your download and installation are now complete.
