Lesson 6a: Simple Method for Entering Additions and Disposals

  • Navigate to the Misc Sections area in GA-TaxPro.

  • You will find two buttons: Additions (for Additions or Items Transferred In) and Disposals (for Disposals or Items Transferred Out).

  • Click on Additions to open a table for entering property details.

  • Use the following shortcuts for managing records within the table:

    • Press Ctrl + N to add a new record

    • Press Ctrl + T to mark a record for deletion

    • Press Ctrl + R to unmark a deletion

  • Fill in the required details for each addition, including Description, Group, Acquired Year, and Cost.

  • When finished, click the X button in the top-right corner to close the table.

  • An alert will appear asking you to confirm posting this data to Schedule A.

  • Click Yes to transfer the entered additions to the Additions column on Schedule A.

Disposals are entered in the same way using the Disposals button.
