Installing GA-TaxPro on a Network Server

This guide outlines additional considerations for installing GA-TaxPro on a network server.

Permissions Setup

• Full Control Permissions: Ensure that all users who will access GA-TaxPro have FULL CONTROL permissions over the application folder

• In addition, if you are:

  • Installing Directly on the Network Server: This approach entails performing the installation directly on the network server itself. In this case, you will be logged into the server and executing the installation process locally. Then you need to enable FULL CONTROL permission over C:\GA_TaxProLog on the network server.

  • Installing from a Local Workstation targeting a Network Server: Then a C:\GA_TaxProLog will be created on your local PC or laptop.

Disabling Opportunistic Locking (Oplock)

• Understanding and Disabling Oplock: Follow these instructions to understand and disable Oplock to ensure smooth operation of GA-TaxPro on your network server.
